17 and insert: Section 2. Subsection (7) is added to section
18 947.141, Florida Statutes, to read:
19 947.141 Violations of conditional release, control
20 release, or conditional medical release or addiction-recovery
21 supervision.--
22 (7) If a law enforcement officer has probable cause to
23 believe that an offender who is on release supervision under
24 s. 947.1405, s. 947.146, s. 947.149, or s. 944.4731 has
25 violated the terms and conditions of his or her release by
26 committing a felony offense, the officer shall arrest the
27 offender without a warrant and a warrant need not be issued in
28 the case.
29 Section 3. Subsection (3) is added to section 947.22,
30 Florida Statutes, to read:
31 947.22 Authority to arrest parole violators with or

2 (3) If a law enforcement officer has probable cause to
3 believe that a parolee has violated the terms and conditions
4 of his or her parole, the officer shall arrest and take into
5 custody the parolee without a warrant, and a warrant need not
6 be issued in the case.
7 Section 4. This act shall take effect October 1, 2002.

23 employees or agents, or certain other officers
24 or has committed assault or battery upon any
25 employee of a receiving facility; amending ss.
26 947.141, 947.22, F.S.; requiring a law
27 enforcement officer to arrest an offender whom
28 the officer has probable cause to believe has
29 committed a felony while on release supervision
30 or parole; providing that a warrant need not be
31 issued in the case; providing an effective
