  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to growth management;

  3         expressing the legislative intent to amend ch.

  4         163, F.S., to create a livable communities

  5         program; providing an effective date.

  7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  8

  9         Section 1.  It is the intent of the Legislature to

10  amend chapter 163, Florida Statutes, to create a livable

11  communities program to promote the use of best planning

12  practices by local governments.

13         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2002.
