17 and insert:
18 Section 1. Subsection (13) of section 376.80, Florida
19 Statutes, is added to said section to read:
20 376.80 Brownfield program administration process.--
21 (13) Annually, any unencumbered funds remaining
22 undisbursed on or at the close of the fiscal year on June 30,
23 from the Quick-Response Training Program; from brownfield
24 redevelopment bonus refunds; and from unencumbered,
25 undisbursed funds existing at the applicable time for
26 reversions of fixed capital outlay appropriations in
27 accordance with s. 216.301(3) which have been appropriated in
28 the General Appropriations Act for cleanup of state-owned
29 lands shall be used for grants to fund expenses relating to
30 the assessment and remediation of brownfield sites within
31 areas designated pursuant to s. 376.80, for those

1 jurisdictions that have United States Environmental Protection
2 Agency brownfield pilot projects designated prior to July 1,
3 1997. Grants shall be distributed to eligible pilot projects
4 under this section on a pro rata basis in an amount not to
5 exceed $500,000 per pilot project, provided there is a total
6 of at least $100,000 to disburse.
7 Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a
8 law.
