19         331.308  Board of supervisors.--

20         (1)  There is created within the Spaceport Florida

21  Authority a board of supervisors consisting of eight seven

22  regular members, who shall be appointed by the Governor, and

23  two ex officio nonvoting members, one of whom shall be a state

24  senator selected by the President of the Senate and one of

25  whom shall be a state representative selected by the Speaker

26  of the House of Representatives, all of whom shall be subject

27  to confirmati on by the Senate at the next regular session of

28  the Legislature. The Lieutenant Governor shall serve as Chair

29  of the board of supervisors, and shall cast the deciding vote

30  if the votes of the eight regular members result in a tie.

31  All regular members shall be subject to confirmation by the

  1  Senate at the next regular session of the Legislature.

  2  Existing board members are not prohibited from reappointment.

  3  Each of the regular board members must be a resident of the

  4  state and must have experience in the aerospace or commercial

  5  space industry or in finance or have other significant

  6  relevant experience. Four of the Governor's appointees must be

  7  representatives of Florida's space-flight related businesses,

  8  as defined in s. 212.031, of which one of the four shall also

  9  be a small business as defined in s. 288.703.  One regular

10  member shall represent organized labor interests and one

11  regular member shall represent minority interests.

12  Appointments of regular members shall be for a four-year term.
