10 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

12 Section 1. Section 26.031, Florida Statutes, is
13 amended to read:
14 26.031 Judicial circuits; number of judges.--The
15 number of circuit judges in each circuit shall be as follows:

20 this act shall be appointed by the Governor and shall take
21 office for a term beginning on October 1, 2002.
22 Section 4. This act shall take effect July 1, 2002.

27 Adds one circuit judge in the 17th Judicial Circuit (Broward
County) and deletes one county judge in Broward County.
