18         (4)  The department,in conjunction with the Institute

19  of Food and Agricultural Sciences at the University of

20  Florida, shall biennially review the official state lists of

21  invasive plants and noxious weeds as provided for under this

22  chapter and department rules. The plants listed in section

23  369.251 shall be incorporated into the department lists as

24  provided for under this chapter.  A water management district

25  when identifying by rule pursuant to 373.185, or a local

26  government when identifying by ordinance, a list of noxious

27  weeds, invasive plants, or plants deemed to be a public

28  nuisance or threat, shall utilize the lists developed under

29  this chapter or rules adopted thereunder.  All local

30  government ordinances, adopted prior to March 1, 2002, that

31  list noxious weeds or invasive plants shall remain in effect.
