  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to taxation; providing that it

  3         is the intent of the Legislature to implement

  4         the provisions of a constitutional amendment

  5         expanding the base and reducing the rate of the

  6         sales and use tax; providing an effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9

10         Section 1.  It is the intent of the Legislature to

11  implement the provisions of a constitutional amendment

12  expanding the base and reducing the rate of the sales and use

13  tax.

14         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2002.
