11  The Committee on Information Technology offered the following:

13         Amendment 

14         On page 3, between lines 13 and 14, of the bill

15

16  insert:

17         (4)  The State Technology Office shall, in consultation

18  with the department, design and oversee implementation,

19  operation and maintenance of the central database to ensure

20  that it is capable of performing as required by this section,

21  and that it is implemented, operated and maintained in accord

22  with the policies and procedures established by the

23  office.  The department shall reimburse the office for the

24  costs and expenses it incurs in rendering the performances

25  necessary to design and oversee implementation, operation and

26  maintenance of the central database.
