  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to growth management; providing

  3         that the Legislature intends to enact

  4         legislation to amend chapters 163 and 380,

  5         F.S., relating to the state's system of growth

  6         management; providing an effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9

10         Section 1.  It is the intent of the Legislature to

11  amend chapters 163 and 380, Florida Statutes, to revise the

12  state's growth-management system, including, but not limited

13  to, providing for streamlined state review of local government

14  comprehensive plans; encouraging public input in comprehensive

15  planning by local governments; encouraging urban infill and

16  redevelopment; seeking state infrastructure funding; modifying

17  the development of the regional-impact process; and defining

18  the appropriate roles of local, regional, and state government

19  in the state's growth-management system.

20         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

21  law.
