15         On page 3, line 8,
16  remove from the bill:  5.

18  and insert in lieu thereof:  
19         5.  An elected officer who is elected or appointed to
20  an elective office is not subject to termination limitations
21  as provided in Chapter 121 until the end of the term of office
22  during which the termination limitations would have applied.
23  Under no circumstances, however, shall an elected officer
24  whose termination limitations are extended by this section
25  receive any pension payments or lump sum payments or any other
26  state payment other than the statutorily determined salary for
27  the elective office until termination requirements are
28  fulfilled.
