  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to public construction

  3         projects; authorizing public entities or

  4         agencies to purchase certain types of

  5         consolidated insurance with respect to public

  6         construction projects; providing an effective

  7         date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10  

11         Section 1.  Notwithstanding any other law to the

12  contrary, a public entity or agency may purchase a

13  consolidated insurance program to provide worker's

14  compensation, employer's liability, builder's risk, or

15  pollution liability for itself or a contractor or

16  subcontractor working on a public construction project.

17         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2002.
