18 Section 13. Subsections (1) and (3) of section
19 470.0295, Florida Statutes, are amended to read:
20 470.0295 Disinterment; transportation; authorization
21 and notification.--
22 (1) The disinterment and reinterment of human remains
23 shall require the physical presence of a licensed funeral
24 director, unless the reinterment is to be made in the same
25 cemetery.
26 (3) The funeral director shall obtain written
27 authorization from a legally authorized person or a court of
28 competent jurisdiction prior to the disinterment and
29 reinterment of a dead human body. Any person who violates this
30 subsection commits a misdemeanor of the first degree,
31 punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083.
