13         Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 11, between lines 19 and 20, of the bill

15

16  insert:

17         Section 4.  Notwithstanding the provisions of s.

18  849.0931, Florida Statutes, bingo games for residents or

19  clients of a facility licensed or authorized under part II,

20  part III, part V, or part XI of chapter 400, Florida Statutes,

21  chapter 651, Florida Statutes, or s. 430.206, Florida

22  Statutes, and their guests, or for residents of

23  government-financed or government-insured housing for the

24  elderly and their guests may be conducted if such games are

25  held in the facility, played exclusively by residents or

26  clients and their guests, and conducted by residents, staff,

27  or volunteers of the facility, and if neither the facility nor

28  any third party derives financial benefit from such games.

29  Prizes may be claimed only by residents or clients of these

30  facilities or by guests who are residents or clients of other

31  similarly licensed or authorized facilities. Any net proceeds

  1  remaining after paying prizes may be donated by residents or

  2  clients who organize the games to projects or activities of

  3  their choice. Any county or municipality that regulates the

  4  playing of bingo must exempt bingo games conducted pursuant to

  5  this section from regulation and fees.

10         On page 1, line 7, after the semicolon,

11

12  insert:

13         authorizing bingo games for residents or

14         clients of certain facilities for the elderly

15         or disabled and their guests; providing

16         conditions; providing for use of proceeds;

17         providing exemption from local regulation and

18         fees;
