13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 68, line 4, after the period

15

16  insert:  A taxpayer's liability for interest under any of the

17  chapters specified in s. 72.011(1) shall be settled or

18  compromised in whole or in part whenever or to the extent that

19  the department determines that the delay in the determination

20  of the amount due is attributable to the action or inaction of

21  the department.

28  insert:
