  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to high school athletic

  3         activities; requiring students who participate

  4         in such activities to undergo an

  5         electrocardiogram; providing an effective date.

  6

  7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  8

  9         Section 1.  Any high school student who engages in

10  school-sponsored athletic activities must have an

11  electrocardiogram performed and analyzed by a person who is

12  licensed as a specialist in that field before participating in

13  any such activities.

14         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2002.
