  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to psychologists; amending s.

  3         490.014, F.S.; exempting certain out-of-state

  4         psychologists from licensure requirements when

  5         serving as expert witnesses; providing an

  6         effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9

10         Section 1.  Paragraph (g) is added to subsection (2) of

11  section 490.014, Florida Statutes, to read:

12         490.014  Exemptions.--

13         (2)  No person shall be required to be licensed or

14  provisionally licensed under this chapter who:

15         (g)  Is licensed or certified in another jurisdiction

16  and examines, evaluates, interviews, tests, or diagnoses a

17  person solely to testify as an expert witness in a legal

18  proceeding.

19         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2002.
