On Page: 020 If a distrct's entitlement to FEFP Sparsity Supplement
funding is limited by the wealth adjustment component
Spec App: 105 of the Sparsity Supplement calculation, the amendment
would allow that district to levy an additional
discretionary ad valorem tax to offset the loss of
state Sparsity Supplement funding

Following the third paragraph of proviso following Specific
Appropriation 105 on page 21, insert the following new sub-paragraph:
3) In addition, those school districts that do not receive Sparsity
funds due to the application of the wealth adjustment factor, may levy a
supplemental discretionary millage that will generate an amount
equivalent to those funds lost through the application of the wealth
adjustment factor. Those funds shall not be included in the calculation
of the minimum guarantee.
Line item amendments are accepted as part of the amendatory process. However, due to the necessity of using computerized systems this may entail a different placement
within a budget entity or the renumbering of the specific appropriation items. |
