  1                    Senate Resolution No. ____

  2         A resolution recognizing and honoring Senator

  3         Durell Peaden.

  4

  5         WHEREAS, Senator Durell Peaden spent twenty-five years

  6  of his life in humanitarian service to his community as a

  7  country medical doctor, and

  8         WHEREAS, Senator Durell Peaden served with distinction

  9  in the Florida House of Representatives for six years, and

10         WHEREAS, Senator Durell Peaden has been a valuable

11  asset to the Florida Senate since his election to this body in

12  November 2000, and

13         WHEREAS, Senator Durell Peaden works tirelessly for not

14  only his own constituents but all Floridians, and

15         WHEREAS, on March 15, 2002, in the Florida Senate

16  Office Building, Senator Durell Peaden combined his medical

17  background with his compassion for humanity and rendered

18  life-saving assistance to a member of the Senate staff, NOW,

19  THEREFORE,

21  Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:

22

23         That this Senate, in deepest appreciation for his

24  actions, hereby recognizes Senator Durell Peaden as Doctor

25  Emeritus of the Florida Senate for the year 2002.
