2 A resolution expressing regret at the passing
3 of Marvin F. Arrington.

5 WHEREAS, Marvin Frederic Arrington was born in Quincy,
6 Florida, and was a lifelong resident of the area, graduating
7 from Maclay School and the Florida State University, and
8 WHEREAS, Marvin began his career in the legislative
9 process in 1976 on the staff of the House Claims Committee,
10 and
11 WHEREAS, he subsequently accepted a position with the
12 Florida Institute of Architects and then with the Florida
13 Association of Realtors, where he was instrumental in shaping
14 that organization into a major legislative and political
15 force, and
16 WHEREAS, he then embarked on a career as a multi-client
17 professional lobbyist, providing exceptional representation to
18 a wide variety of clients, and
19 WHEREAS, he consistently conducted himself with the
20 highest degree of honesty and integrity, demonstrated a strong
21 work ethic, and exhibited exceptional communication and
22 political skills, as well as a thorough knowledge of the
23 legislative process, thus making him a model for the lobbying
24 community, and
25 WHEREAS, he was also very involved in his community,
26 serving as a Director of the Arthritis Foundation, an alumnus
27 of Leadership Florida, Past President of the Governor's Club,
28 and an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church, and
29 WHEREAS, despite his professional and community
30 activities, Marvin's family was the center of his life in that
31 he was a devoted husband to his dear wife, Lynn Foster

1 Arrington, and a proud and loving father to his children,
2 Frederic Reynolds and Margaret Frances, and
3 WHEREAS, Marvin Arrington departed this earth on March
4 19, 2002, leaving behind a loving family and many devoted
5 friends, NOW, THEREFORE,
6
7 Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:
8
9 That the Florida Senate expresses its deepest regret at
10 the passing of Marvin F. Arrington and extends its most
11 sincere condolences to his wife, his children, his extended
12 family, and his many friends.
