  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to specialty license plates;

  3         amending ss. 320.08056 and 320.08058, F.S.;

  4         providing for a Florida Boater license plate;

  5         providing for the distribution of fees;

  6         providing an effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9  

10         Section 1.  Paragraph (gg) is added to subsection (4)

11  of section 320.08056, Florida Statutes, as amended by

12  Committee Substitute for Committee Substitute for House Bill

13  1053, 2001 Regular Session, to read:

14         320.08056  Specialty license plates.--

15         (4)  The following license plate annual use fees shall

16  be collected for the appropriate specialty license plates:

17         (gg)  Florida Boater license plate, $25.

18         Section 2.  Subsection (33) is added to section

19  320.08058, Florida Statutes, as amended by Committee

20  Substitute for Committee Substitute for House Bill 1053, 2001

21  Regular Session, to read:

22         320.08058  Specialty licenses plates.--

23         (33)(a)  FLORIDA BOATER LICENSE PLATES.--  The

24  Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles shall develop

25  a Florida Boater license plate as provided in this section.

26  The word "Florida" must appear at the bottom of the plate.

27         (b)  The funds collected from the Florida Boater

28  license plate shall be deposited in the General Revenue Fund.

29         Section 3.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

30  law.
