  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to motor vehicles; repealing s.

  3         29(19), ch. 2001-196, Laws of Florida, relating

  4         to a provision of law making it a deceptive and

  5         unfair trade practice for a motor vehicle

  6         dealer to add certain additional charges for

  7         pre-delivery services; providing for

  8         retroactive application; providing an effective

  9         date.

11  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

13         Section 1.  Subsection (19) of section 29 of chapter

14  2001-196, Laws of Florida, is repealed.

15         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

16  law and shall apply retroactively to any motor vehicle sold on

17  or after October 1, 2001.

20                       LEGISLATIVE SUMMARY

      Repeals a provision of law which makes it a deceptive and
22    unfair trade practice for a motor vehicle dealer to add
      an additional charge for pre-delivery services other than
23    those shown on a conspicuous label attached to the window
      of the vehicle.
