13         Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 42, between lines 14 and 15,

16  insert:

17         Section 16.  Every baby born in a hospital in this

18  state shall receive, prior to being discharged from the

19  hospital, an eye examination using an opthalmoscope and

20  dilation of the pupils for detection of pediatric congenital

21  and ocular abnormalities.
