13 Amendment
14 On page 1, lines 16 through 25,
15 remove: all of said lines

17 and insert:
18 Section 1. Subsection (10) is added to section 339.12,
19 Florida Statutes, to read:
20 339.12 Aid and contributions by governmental entities
21 for department projects; federal aid.--
22 (10) Any county with a population greater than 50,000
23 which levies the full 6 cents of local option fuel tax
24 pursuant to ss. 206.41(1)(e) and 206.87(1)(c), and which
25 dedicates 35 percent or more of its discretionary sales
26 surtax, pursuant to s.212.055, for improvements to the State
27 Transportation System or to local projects directly upgrading
28 the State Transportation System within the county's boundaries
29 shall receive preference for receipt of any transportation
30 grant for which the county applies. This subsection shall not
31 apply to loans or nonhighway grant programs.
