14 On page 7, between lines 24 and 25,

16 insert:
17 (6) Any insurer that is obligated to collect and remit
18 the tax on property insurance imposed under s. 175.101 shall
19 be held harmless from liability, including, but not limited
20 to, any tax, interest, or penalties, which would otherwise be
21 due solely as a result of an assignment of an insured property
22 to an incorrect local taxing jurisdiction, based on the
23 collection and remission of the tax accruing before the
24 effective date of this act, provided the insurer collects and
25 reports this tax consistent with filings for periods before
26 the effective date of this act. Further, any insurer that is
27 obligated to collect and remit the tax on property insurance
28 imposed under this section shall not be subject to an
29 examination under s. 624.316 or s. 624.3161 which would occur
30 solely as a result of an assignment of an insured property to
31 an incorrect local taxing jurisdiction, based on the
