  1                      House Joint Resolution

  2         A joint resolution proposing an amendment to

  3         Article I of the State Constitution relating to

  4         the right to hunt, fish, and harvest game.

  6  Be It Resolved by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  7

  8         That the amendment to Article I of the State

  9  Constitution set forth below is agreed to and shall be

10  submitted to the electors of Florida for approval or rejection

11  at the general election to be held in November 2003:

12                            ARTICLE I

13                      DECLARATION OF RIGHTS

14         SECTION 26.  Right of the people to hunt, fish, and

15  harvest game.--The people shall have a right to hunt, fish,

16  and harvest game, subject to reasonable regulations and

17  restrictions as prescribed by general law and this

18  constitution.

19         BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in accordance with the

20  requirements of section 101.161, Florida Statutes, the title

21  and substance of the amendment proposed herein shall appear on

22  the ballot as follows:

23                   RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO HUNT,

24                      FISH, AND HARVEST GAME

25         Establishes the right of the people of the state to

26  hunt, fish, and harvest game, subject to reasonable

27  regulations and restrictions as prescribed by general law and

28  the State Constitution.
