19  Florida Statutes, is created to read:

20         232.4255  Physical assessments for high school

21  athletes.--Prior to participation each year, each student who

22  participates in organized high school athletics must receive a

23  complete physical assessment. The assessment must be performed

24  by a physician licensed under chapter 458 or chapter 459 and

25  must include a complete cardiovascular assessment, including,

26  but not limited to, an electrocardiogram. The

27  electrocardiogram must be analyzed by a person who is licensed

28  or trained as a specialist in electrocardiogram analysis. It

29  shall be the responsibility of the student to pay the costs of

30  such physical assessment with the exception of a student

31  enrolled in the Florida Kidcare program or Medicaid, in which
