11  Senator Pruitt moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment 

14         On page 9, lines 8-20, delete those lines

15

16  and insert:

17         5.  Projects that make use of private lands, or lands

18  held in trust for Indian tribes, to reduce nutrient loadings

19  or concentrations within a basin by one or more of the

20  following methods:  restoring the natural hydrology of the

21  basin, restoring wildlife habitat or impacted wetlands,

22  reducing peak flows after storm events, increasing aquifer

23  recharge, or protecting range and timberland from conversion

24  to development are eligible for grants available under this

25  section from the coordinating agencies. For projects of

26  otherwise equal priority, funding priority will be given to

27  those projects that make best use of the methods outlined

28  above that involve public-private partnerships or that obtain

29  federal match money. Grant applications may be submitted by

30  any person or tribal entity, and eligible projects may

31  include,
