14 On page 5, between lines 15 and 16, of the bill

16 insert:
17 Section 4. Section 768.093, Florida Statutes, is
18 created to read:
19 768.093 Owner liability limits; powered shopping
20 carts.--
21 (1) For the purposes of this section, "powered
22 shopping cart" means an electrically powered assistive
23 technology device which is generally used in a retail
24 establishment by a customer, designed for the simultaneous
25 transport of a person and of goods of any kind, and capable of
26 speeds no greater than 2 1/2 miles per hour.
27 (2) A powered shopping cart which is provided to a
28 person gratuitously for use solely on the premises of the
29 owner of such powered shopping cart shall not be considered a
30 dangerous instrumentality in this state.
