  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to domestic security; providing

  3         an appropriation for the construction of a

  4         biocontaminant laboratory and the upgrading of

  5         associated biosafety measures; providing an

  6         effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9

10         Section 1.  For the 2001-2002 fiscal year, the sum of

11  $875,000 is appropriated from nonrecurring revenue of the

12  General Revenue Fund to the Division of Animal Industry of the

13  Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for the

14  purpose of constructing a biocontaminant facility and

15  upgrading associated biosafety measures at the Kissimmee

16  Diagnostic Laboratory.

17         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

18  law.
