13         Amendment (with title amendment)

18         Section 23.  Dori Slosberg Driver Education Safety

19  Act.--Effective October 1, 2002, notwithstanding the

20  provisions of s. 318.121, Florida Statutes, a board of county

21  commissioners may require, by ordinance, that the clerk of the

22  court collect an additional $3 with each civil traffic

23  penalty, which shall be used to fund traffic education

24  programs in public and nonpublic schools. The ordinance shall

25  provide for the board of county commissioners to administer

26  the funds. The funds shall be used for direct educational

27  expenses and shall not be used for administration.

28         Section 24.  Except as otherwise provided herein, this

29  act shall take effect July 1, 2002.
