20 (10) Any county with a population greater than 50,000 which
21 levies the full 6 cents of local option fuel tax pursuant to
22 ss. 206.41 (1) (e) and 206.87 (1) (c), and which dedicates 35
23 percent or more of its discretionary sales surtax, pursuant to
24 s.212.055, for improvements to the State Transportation System
25 or to local projects directly upgrading the State
26 Transportation System within the county's boundaries shall
27 receive preference for receipt of any transportation grant for
28 which the county applies. This subsection shall not apply to
29 loans or nonhighway grant programs.
