  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to plea agreements; prohibiting

  3         plea agreements from binding law enforcement

  4         personnel under certain circumstances;

  5         providing an effective date.

  7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  8

  9         Section 1.  No plea agreement shall purport to bind the

10  present or future action, judgment, or speech of law

11  enforcement personnel at any court hearing, sentencing

12  hearing, or parole hearing, or with regard to any

13  investigation. Any such plea agreement is prohibited,

14  precluded, and vitiated without the express knowledge and

15  consent of such law enforcement personnel.

16         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2002.
