15         On page 30, line 15,

17  insert:  Notwithstanding any provision to the contrary and the

18  authority of the department, the department may contract with

19  a private sector company selected and approved by the

20  department for services to administer the disability benefit

21  program.  The agency may after June 30, 2003, implement an

22  alternative method of administering and funding disability

23  benefits for participants in the optional program, including

24  through commercial insurance coverage.
