11  Senator Saunders moved the following amendment to amendment

12  (913362):

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

15         On page 79, between lines 14 and 15,

16

17  insert:

18         Section 27.  Sections 27-29 of this act may be cited as

19  the "Jennifer Knight Medicaid Lung Transplant Act."

20         Section 28.  Subject to the availability of funds and

21  subject to any limitations or directions provided for in the

22  General Appropriations Act or chapter 216, Florida Statutes,

23  the Agency for Health Care Administration Medicaid program

24  shall pay for medically necessary lung transplant services for

25  Medicaid recipients.

26         Section 29.  Subsection (1) of section 409.915, Florida

27  Statutes, is amended to read:

28         409.915  County contributions to Medicaid.--Although

29  the state is responsible for the full portion of the state

30  share of the matching funds required for the Medicaid program,

31  in order to acquire a certain portion of these funds, the

  1  state shall charge the counties for certain items of care and

  2  service as provided in this section.

  3         (1)  Each county shall participate in the following

  4  items of care and service:

  5         (a)  For both health maintenance members and

  6  fee-for-service beneficiaries, payments for inpatient

  7  hospitalization in excess of 10 days, but not in excess of 45

  8  days, with the exception of pregnant women and children whose

  9  income is in excess of the federal poverty level and who do

10  not participate in the Medicaid medically needy program, and

11  for adult lung transplant services.

12         (b)  Payments for nursing home or intermediate

13  facilities care in excess of $170 per month, with the

14  exception of skilled nursing care for children under age 21.
