2 An act relating to Broward County; extending
3 the corporate limits of the Town of
4 Lauderdale-By-The-Sea; providing an effective
5 date.

7 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
8
9 Section 1. The present corporate limits of the Town of
10 Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, Broward County, Florida, are hereby
11 extended and enlarged effective September 15, 2002, so as to
12 include, in addition to the territory presently within its
13 corporate limits, the area particularly described as follows:

15 Part #1 (south area):

17 Beginning at the point of intersection of the
18 south boundary line of Section 18, Township 49
19 South, Range 43 East with the ordinary low
20 watermark of the Atlantic Ocean, the POINT OF
21 BEGINNING for Part #1;

23 THENCE in a northerly direction along said
24 ordinary low watermark of the Atlantic Ocean to
25 the point of intersection of said ordinary low
26 watermark with the north boundary line of
27 Section 18, Township 49 South, Range 43 East;
28
29 THENCE in a westerly direction along said north
30 boundary line of Section 18, Township 49 South,
31 Range 43 East to the point of intersection of

1 said north boundary line with the shore line of
2 the Atlantic Ocean;

4 THENCE in a northerly direction along said
5 shore line of the Atlantic Ocean to the point
6 of intersection of said shore line with a line
7 located one hundred eighty (180) feet north of
8 and parallel to the south line of the North
9 One-Half (N 1/2) of the Southeast One-Quarter
10 (SE 1/4) of Section 7, Township 49 South, Range
11 43 East;

13 THENCE in an easterly direction along said line
14 located one hundred eighty (180) feet north of
15 and parallel to the south line of the North
16 One-Half (N 1/2) of the Southeast One-Quarter
17 (SE 1/4) of Section 7, Township 49 South, Range
18 43 East and continuing along an easterly
19 extension of said parallel line to the point of
20 intersection of said extended parallel line
21 with the eastern boundary line of the State of
22 Florida;

24 THENCE in a southerly direction along said
25 eastern boundary line of the State of Florida
26 to the point of intersection of said boundary
27 line with an easterly extension of the south
28 boundary line of Section 18, Township 49 South,

20 Watermark of the Atlantic Ocean, the POINT OF
21 BEGINNING for Part #2;

25 the point of intersection of said Ordinary Low
26 Watermark with the easterly extension of a line
27 located eight hundred and fifty (850) feet

6 THENCE in a southerly direction along the line
7 located three (3) miles east of and parallel to
8 the Ordinary Low Watermark of the Atlantic
9 Ocean to a point on said line, said point being
10 three (3) miles due east of the point of
11 intersection of the Ordinary Low Watermark of
12 the Atlantic Ocean with a line located three
13 hundred and eighty (380) feet north of and
14 parallel to the south line of the North
15 One-Half (N 1/2) of the Southeast One-Quarter
16 (SE 1/4) of Section 7, Township 49 South, Range
17 43 East;

19 THENCE in a due west direction a distance of
20 three (3) miles to the point of intersection of
21 the Ordinary Low Watermark of the Atlantic with
22 a line located three hundred and eighty (380)
23 feet north of and parallel to the south line of
24 the North One-Half (N 1/2) of the Southeast
25 One-Quarter (SE 1/4) of Section 7, Township 49
26 South, Range 43 East, the POINT OF BEGINNING
27 for Part #2.
28 Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a
29 law.
