19         Section 1.  Intent.--Pursuant to section 191.015,

20  Florida Statutes, it is the intent of the Legislature to

21  provide a single, comprehensive special act charter for the

22  Cedar Hammock Fire Control District, which includes all

23  current legislative authority granted to the district by its

24  several legislative enactments and any additional authority

25  granted by this act and chapters 189 and 191, Florida

26  Statutes, as they may be amended from time to time.  The Cedar

27  Hammock Fire Control District's charter was codified in

28  chapter 2000-391, Laws of Florida.  It is intended that this

29  act be the District's single comprehensive special act.  It is

30  further the intent of this act to preserve all district

31  authority.

  1         Section 2.  Chapter 2000-391, Laws of Florida, is

  2  reenacted, amended and repealed as herein provided.

  3         Section 3.  The Cedar Hammock Fire Control District is

  4  re-created and the charter is re-created and reenacted to

  5  read:

10         On page 1, lines 2 through 13,

13  and insert:

14         An act relating to Cedar Hammock Fire Control

15         District; providing legislative intent;

16         amending, codifying, and reenacting all prior

17         special acts; providing for incorporation as a

18         special fire control district; providing a

19         district boundary; providing for a governing

20         board of said district; providing for non-ad

21         valorem assessments and impact fees; providing

22         a schedule of non-ad valorem assessments;

23         providing for district powers, functions and

24         duties; restating chapter 93-352, Laws of

25         Florida, as amended by chapter 94-373, Laws of

26         Florida, providing for the deletion of a

27         reference to the district; providing for

28         construction and effect; providing an effective

29         date.
