11  Senator Saunders moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 43, between lines 26 and 27,

15

16  insert:

17         Section 10.  Pursuant to the General Appropriations

18  Acts for the 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 fiscal years, funds

19  appropriated for the purpose of funding s. 409.165, Florida

20  Statutes, and as provided for in the Road-to-Independence Act

21  pursuant to House Bill 245, or Senate Bill 996 or similar

22  legislation passed into law, shall be used only for expanding

23  services to foster care children 13 years of age and older,

24  and young adults formerly in foster care 18 to 23 years of

25  age. The Department of Children and Family Services shall not

26  use funds identified for s. 409.165, Florida Statutes, as

27  provided for in the Road-to-Independence Act pursuant to House

28  Bill 245, or Senate Bill 996 or similar legislation passed

29  into law, for any other purpose and is prohibited from

30  supplanting other department programs with these funds.
