11  Senator Campbell moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 1782, between lines 28 and 29,
15  
16  insert:  
17         Section 1083.  School districts to employ school
18  psychologists and school social workers.--Beginning with the
19  2002-2003 school year and thereafter, each district school
20  board in the state shall employ a school psychologist, if
21  funds are available, certified by the Department of Education
22  or licensed under chapter 490, Florida Statutes, and a school
23  social worker certified by the Department of Education or
24  licensed under chapter 491, Florida Statutes, for each
25  elementary and secondary school in the district designated as
26  performance grade category "D" or "F." The school psychologist
27  and school social worker shall be available to counsel
28  students during regular school hours. This section shall take
29  effect July 1, 2002.
