14 On page 93, lines 18-29, delete those lines
15
16 and insert:
17 (1) Each member of the district school board shall
18 receive as salary the amount indicated, based on the
19 population of the member's county. In addition, compensation
20 shall be made for population increments over the minimum for
21 each population group, which shall be determined by
22 multiplying the population in excess of the minimum for the
23 group times the group rate. Laws which increase the base
24 salary herein provided shall contain provisions on no other
25 subject.

6 (2) Notwithstanding provisions of chapter 145 or this
7 chapter to the contrary, the annual salaries of district
8 school board members for 1993 and each year thereafter shall
9 be established at the same amounts as those members were paid
10 for fiscal year 1991-1992, adjusted by each annual increase
11 provided for in chapter 145. Any salary previously paid to
12 district school board members which was consistent with
13 chapter 145 and this section is hereby ratified and validated.
