Board of Dentistry.

Immediately following Specific Appropriation 2701, INSERT:
From the funds provided in Specific Appropriation 2701, the Office of
Legislative Services shall contract for a business case
study of the feasibility of outsourcing the administrative,
investigative, legal and prosecutorial functions and other tasks and
services that are necessary to carry out the regulatory responsibilities
of the Board of Dentistry; employing its own executive director and
other staff; and obtaining authority over collections and expenditures
of funds paid by professions regulated by the Board of Dentistry into
the Medical Quality Assurance Trust Fund. This feasibility study must
include a business plan and an assessment of the direct and indirect
costs associated with outsourcing these functions. The Office of

Legislative Services shall submit the completed study to the Governor,
the President of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House of
Representatives by January 1, 2003.
Line item amendments are accepted as part of the amendatory process. However, due to the necessity of using computerized systems this may entail a different placement
within a budget entity or the renumbering of the specific appropriation items. |
