11  The Committee on Appropriations recommended the following
12  amendment:

14         Senate Amendment 
15         On page 2, lines 6-19, delete those lines
16  
17  and insert:  act for the fifth, sixth, seventh, tenth,
18  twelfth, thirteenth, and twentieth judicial circuits shall be
19  filled by election in 2002 pursuant to chapter 105, Florida
20  Statutes. Candidates for those judicial offices shall qualify
21  as provided in chapter 105, Florida Statutes, no earlier than
22  noon on July 22, 2002, and no later than noon on July 26,
23  2002. Judges elected to office as provided in this subsection
24  shall take office for a term beginning March 1, 2003, and
25  expiring on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in
26  January of the 6th year of the term following the date of
27  election. For purposes of these judicial offices filled by
28  election, a vacancy does not occur until March 1, 2003.
29         (2)  The judicial offices created by this act for the
30  eighth, ninth, eleventh, fifteenth, seventeenth and
