  1                         House Resolution

  2         A resolution congratulating BankAtlantic on the

  3         occasion of its 50th anniversary.

  4

  5         WHEREAS, BankAtlantic is one of Florida's oldest,

  6  largest, and most stable financial institutions, and

  7         WHEREAS, BankAtlantic has remained as one of the few

  8  Florida-based banking institutions since 1952, and

  9         WHEREAS, BankAtlantic continues to serve the state and

10  the communities in which it operates, and

11         WHEREAS, BankAtlantic has set itself apart from other

12  financial institutions through the not-for-profit BankAtlantic

13  Foundation, and

14         WHEREAS, BankAtlantic is celebrating its 50th

15  anniversary as a bedrock of financial strength on May 14,

16  2002, NOW, THEREFORE,

18  Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of

19  Florida:

20

21         That May 14, 2002, is designated as BankAtlantic Day in

22  Florida.

23         BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution

24  be presented to Alan Levan, chairman of BankAtlantic, as a

25  tangible token of the sentiments expressed herein.
