  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to ad valorem taxation;

  3         expressing the legislative intent to provide an

  4         exemption from ad valorem taxation for property

  5         owned by certain veterans' organizations;

  6         providing an effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9

10         Section 1.  The Legislature intends to provide an

11  exemption from ad valorem taxation for property owned by

12  Veterans of Foreign Wars and its auxiliary organizations as a

13  result of the organizations' nonprofit activities.

14         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

15  law.
