1	A bill to be entitled
2	An act relating to governmental efficiency and
3	productivity; providing a legislative finding; requiring
4	the Department of Management Services to issue an
5	invitation to negotiate for the purpose of establishing a
6	state term contract to conduct a review of certain agency
7	contracts; providing an effective date.

9	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
10
11	Section 1. The Legislature finds that a complete review of
12	state agency service contracts with respect to equipment and
13	capital assets could produce immediate and long-term savings.
14	Section 2. The Department of Management Services shall
15	issue an invitation to negotiate pursuant to chapter 287,
16	Florida Statutes, by July 1, 2003, for purposes of establishing
17	a state term contract as defined in s. 287.012, Florida
18	Statutes, for a comprehensive review of state agency service
19	contracts for the periodic repair, preventative maintenance, or
20	enhancement of leased or owned equipment, including, but not
21	limited to, office equipment, office systems, and any other
22	capital assets.
23	Section 3. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
