15 On page 75, between lines 24 and 25,

17 insert:
18 Section 10. Subsection (1) of section 627.737, Florida
19 Statutes, is amended to read:
20 627.737 Tort exemption; limitation on right to
21 damages; punitive damages.--
22 (1) Every owner, registrant, operator, or occupant of
23 a motor vehicle with respect to which security has been
24 provided as required by ss. 627.730-627.7405, and every person
25 or organization legally responsible for her or his acts or
26 omissions, is hereby exempted from tort liability for damages
27 because of bodily injury, sickness, or disease arising out of
28 the ownership, operation, maintenance, or use of such motor
29 vehicle in this state to the extent that the benefits
30 described in s. 627.736(1) are payable for such injury, or
31 would be payable but for any exclusion authorized by ss.

1 627.730-627.7405, under any insurance policy or other method
2 of security complying with the requirements of s. 627.733, or
3 by an owner personally liable under s. 627.733 for the payment
4 of such benefits, unless a person is entitled to maintain an
5 action for pain, suffering, mental anguish, and inconvenience
6 for such injury under the provisions of subsection (2).

15 insert:
16 amending s. 627.737, F.S.; providing that the
