| 7 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: | ||
| 8 | |||
| 9 | Section 1. Paragraph (b) of subsection (1) of section | ||
| 10 | 812.16, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: | ||
| 11 | 812.16 Operating chop shops; definitions; penalties; | ||
| 12 | restitution; forfeiture.-- | ||
| 13 | (1) As used in this section, the term: | ||
| 14 | (b) "Major component part" means one of the following | ||
| 15 | subassemblies of a motor vehicle, regardless of its actual | ||
| 16 | market value: front-end assembly, including fenders, grills, | ||
| 17 | hood, bumper, and related parts; any airbag and airbag | ||
| 18 | assemblies;frame and frame assembly; engine; transmission; T- | ||
| 19 | tops; rear clip assembly, including quarter panels and floor | ||
| 20 | panel assembly; doors; and tires, tire wheels, and continuous | ||
| 21 | treads and other devices. | ||
| 22 | Section 2. This act shall take effect October 1, 2003. | ||
