  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to consumer credit reports;

  3         requiring certain consumer credit reporting

  4         agencies to provide certain consumers with a

  5         complete consumer credit report each year under

  6         certain circumstances; providing an effective

  7         date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11         Section 1.  Each consumer credit reporting agency that

12  compiles and maintains files on consumers' credit on a

13  nationwide basis shall furnish one complete consumer credit

14  report relating to such consumer's credit at no charge to any

15  consumer in this state who requests a consumer credit report

16  relating to such consumer from such agency in a calendar year

17  and provides appropriate verification of his or her identity.

18         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

19  law.
