Remove line(s) 4297-4312, and insert: |
|
17
|
(1) MINIMUM SALARY.--Effective the 2004-2005 academic |
|
18
|
year, the General Appropriations Act shall provide funding |
|
19
|
through the BEST Florida teaching categorical fund to each |
|
20
|
school district. Each school district shall use these funds to |
|
21
|
implement a locally determined teacher salary schedule that |
|
22
|
includes the following principles:
|
|
23
|
(a) A $31,000 minimum salary, in 2003 dollars, indexed to |
|
24
|
the Consumer Price Index;
|
|
25
|
(b) Maintenance in each school district of the current |
|
26
|
differential between salary steps that is proportional to the |
|
27
|
salary steps in 2002-2003; and
|
|
28
|
(c) A guaranteed increase to each school district for
|
|
29
|
teacher salaries that recognizes the district cost differential
|
|
30
|
and differentials between salary steps in that school district.
