11 The Committee on Finance and Taxation recommended the
12 following amendment:

15 On page 2, lines 4-16, delete those lines
16
17 and insert:
18 (a) Twenty-five percent to the Brain and Spinal Cord
19 Injury Program Trust Fund.
20 (b) Twenty-five percent to Prevent Blindness Florida.
21 (c) Twenty-five percent to the Foundation for
22 Vocational Rehabilitation to support the Personal Care
23 Attendant Program pursuant to s. 413.402.
24 (d) Twenty-five percent to the Florida Association of
25 Centers for Independent Living for the purpose of setting up
26 Direct-Support Organizations for each center, and for programs
27 and activities serving disabled Floridians. Each center
28 participating in the development of a direct-support
29 organization shall be eligible to apply through the
30 Association for a start-up grant of up to $50,000. Thereafter,
31 to the extent that funds are available, each participating

1 center may apply for funds in the form of matching grants. The
2 first year, the centers shall provide 25 cents for each dollar
3 requested. The second year, the center shall provide 50 cents
4 to each dollar requested, and thereafter, the center shall
5 provide a dollar for dollar match for each dollar requested.
6 The match shall be from private, nongovernmental sources.
