1 A bill to be entitled
2          An act relating to Broward County; providing for
3    deannexation of certain lands from the City of Cooper
4    City; providing for annexation of certain lands into the
5    Town of Southwest Ranches; providing an effective date.
6         
7          Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
8         
9          Section 1. The lands contained in the following legal
10    description are hereby deannexed from the City of Cooper City,
11    Broward County:
12         
13          A portion of the Southeast One-Quarter (SE 1/4) of
14    Section 26, Township 50 South, Range 40 East, Broward
15    County, Florida, being more particularly described as
16    follows:
17          COMMENCE at the intersection of the baseline of survey
18    of Griffin Road with baseline of survey of Flamingo
19    Road as shown on the Florida Department of
20    Transportation Right-of-Way Map, Section No. 86190-
21    2517, Sheet 2 of 16;
22          THENCE South 88°29’39” West, 85.01 feet;
23          THENCE South 01°47’01” East, along the West right-of-
24    way line of Flamingo Road, 688.37 feet;
25          THENCE South 88°12’59” West, 315.65 feet to the POINT
26    OF BEGINNING;
27          THENCE continue South 88°12’59” West, 294.35 feet;
28          THENCE North 01°47’01” West, 571.50 feet to a point on
29    the South right-of-way line of said Griffin Road;
30          THENCE South 87°58’34” East along said South right-of-
31    way line, 233.02 feet;
32          THENCE North 88°29’39” East along said South right-of-
33    way line 64.55 feet; THENCE South 01°30’21” East,
34    555.72 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. Said lands
35    lying in the City of Cooper City, Broward County,
36    Florida, containing 166,206 square feet (3.815 acres),
37    more or less.

39          Section 2. The present corporate limits of the Town of
40    Southwest Ranches, Broward County, are hereby extended and
41    enlarged so as to include, in addition to the territory
42    presently within said corporate limits, the following:
43

62    way line, 233.02 feet;
63          THENCE North 88°29’39” East along said South right-of-
64    way line 64.55 feet; THENCE South 01°30’21” East,
65    555.72 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. Said lands
66    lying in the City of Cooper City, Broward County,
67    Florida, containing 166,206 square feet (3.815 acres),

70          Section 3. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
